We drew on their skill and expertise to help us with complete data migration from a botched Salesforce implementation by "those who shall remain nameless". In addition to migrating, our records to the new instance, they took the time to discuss our business and internal workflow to ensure the new implementation would meet our needs and allow us to grow as an agency and continue to maintain our data integrity.

We also chose them for the creation of a custom volunteer management application within our Salesforce instance. We use this custom app for scheduling, job assignment, hours tracking, valuation, and roster generation. Volunteer Resources was ecstatic!

Our finance team requires specific report data and Idealist Consulting helped with a financial reporting configuration including custom objects, analytic snapshots, and even providing references to relevant upcoming changes to the NPSP which will likely affect us in the very near future.

They are expert at APEX coding too. Their work on triggers allows us to integrate payment and donation records with both Linvio PaymentConnect and our AIDS Walk platform (SWEET) for flow-through hands-free transaction processing. This is the good life folks.

We were met with several hitches along the way due to the poor quality of our existing data, and the awkwardness of our existing database, but Larry moved through the problems easily, always fining a great solution. I was then introduced to April who is now our go-to gal for minor hitches we may encounter. We recently signed an ongoing service contract and are pleased to have Idealist by our side, should we need them. We highly recommend the crew at Idealist for your Salesforce needs. They made a donor data management transition painless for a bunch of painfully non-techies. By the way, they also helped us transition to Vertical Response and Click and Pledge. They recommended both of these applications, and we are thoroughly pleased that we followed their advice.

Like many small and specialized nonprofits, we worried that our mission, methods, and hodgepodge of legacy solutions would make the transition to Salesforce difficult. It would be hard to explain how we work and what we needed. I am happy to report that Idealist, in the persons of Cat Monaghan and Mike Smith, quickly put all those fears to rest. Our legacy data is now safely in Salesforce, and we are already seeing the hoped for benefits of this sophisticated cloud-based approach, even as we are still climbing the learning curve. 

Salesforce is like a big city that we are just learning our way around, but the Idealist folks were like having some good friends in the neighborhood to help us move in, show us all the shortcuts, and good places to go.

If you think that the benefits of something like Salesforce are only for large organizations, think again. The smaller your staff, the more you need to give them the best tools possible. Idealist knows how to help you do that. We're glad to have worked with them.

Project Palestine

As part of Project Palestine, we were very lucky to have Idealist Consulting conduct sales and implementation training in order to prepare us for consulting work in Palestine.
